This November, our eyes are geared towards the 111th session of the UN Committee on the elimination of racial discrimination (CERD). Hence we’ve decided to explore this theme during our next Think & Drink. Grab a FREE drink and join us to hear Michal Balcerzak, Vice-Chairperson from CERD, and Amani Bathily from Safro as they share insights into their work to end racial discrimination!

🏆Michal Balcerzak is a professor of international human rights law at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland and a former legal adviser at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Alongside his work at the CERD, he is currently an alternate member of the Management Board of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights.

🏆Amani Bathily is a Communications and Advocacy Specialist at the SDG Lab. In addition, she currently works at foraus, where she spearheads communication efforts in French-speaking Switzerland. She is also active in Safro, an organisation aiming to respond to the factual needs of the Afro-descendants population and to support organisations already working in this direction, by linking them together and providing a prosperous framework for achieving common goals.
